Leapmotor C10 Update Brings Smarter Driving Tech Worldwide
saf04025
Leapmotor Australia has rolled out a complimentary Over-the-Air software update for the C10 range, covering both Battery Electric Vehicle and Range-Extender Electric Vehicle models. Think of it as turning the car into a slightly cleverer companion that wants fewer things from you and gives you more in return. Notifications began going out from September 19. To get it, connect the car to Wi-Fi, download the update, and install it from the vehicle’s interface.
What The Update Adds
The headline grabber is an integrated 360 degree dashcam recorder. It uses the vehicle’s surround view cameras to record while you are driving and saves footage directly to a USB stick. No extra black boxes, no fuss, just footage ready if you need it.
Also arriving is QDLink, a straightforward Android phone projection system that mirrors your phone to the central screen with minimal setup. And for those who prefer radio to silence, Radioline has been added, giving access to thousands of live stations around the world.
ADAS Refinement And Combined Memory Settings
The assistance systems have been sharpened. Most ADAS switches can now be operated in any gear. Sensors for Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering Control have been refined, and Lane Keeping Assist now responds with better sensitivity and performance. Warning icons for driver drowsiness and attention detection have been moved to the main cluster, while audio alerts have been softened and shortened so the car nags you less loudly.
There is a new combined memory setting that lets you save presets for selected ADAS and driving modes. Program your preferences and recall them instantly with a customisable button on the steering wheel. Press it, and the car behaves how you like—simple and extraordinarily civilised.
Navigation And User Interface Improvements
Navigation has been improved with an avoid tolls option, clearer 3D route visuals, and better display of location names sent from mobile devices. The system now supports additional languages and includes logic tweaks to make everyday routing less annoying.
The user interface has been tidied up too. Voice recognition is expanded and smarter, now handling commands like searching by song or artist. The dock bar picks up useful quick controls including the passenger climate zone and mirror heating. Overall, it feels less like wrestling with a tablet and more like talking to a helpful passenger.
Digital Key Sharing And App Enhancements
The Leapmotor smartphone app now supports Bluetooth digital key sharing. The primary user can grant access to registered friends or family on either a temporary or permanent basis. Shared users can unlock and start the car, operate remote features such as climate control, and view vehicle position and energy consumption data. It means sharing a car no longer requires handing over a metal key and a lecture.
Leapmotor Australia says this OTA update is part of its ongoing programme to improve safety, comfort, and connectivity through continuous software refinement. In short, your C10 just got a sensible collection of upgrades that make daily driving easier and rather more enjoyable.
