Jaecoo Teams Up With Western Sydney Wanderers For Summer

Jaecoo has officially signed up to back the Western Sydney Wanderers, which means shiny new sponsor boards, cars on the turf and a fair bit more excitement in the stands. It is not subtle. It is not quiet. It is exactly what football sponsorship should look like.

The partnership covers the Wanderers Fives World Cup and the Sydney Super Cup, so expect Jaecoo branding to be front and centre when the club takes on domestic rivals and international heavyweights. There will also be fan perks, including an exclusive watch party for the Socceroos World Cup fixture on June 26 at Wanderers Football Park.

The Pitch And The Perks

The Wanderers are one of the nation’s most recognisable clubs, built on fierce local support and a surprisingly successful trophy cabinet for a relatively young outfit. They won the 2012/13 A-League Premiership and made history as the first Australian club to lift the AFC Champions League crown in 2014. This deal looks aimed at turning that pedigree into live experiences for supporters.

Expect activations that involve cars, banners and fans. Two Jaecoo vehicles will be on display at the stadium and players will be showing off the new branding on their shirts. If you like merch, football theatre and free things, this is the sort of partnership that delivers.

On July 28 the Sydney Super Cup kicks off with Western Sydney taking on Chelsea F.C. at Accor Stadium. That match alone promises full stands, international attention and a solid stage for Jaecoo to be seen by a big audience. For anyone who dislikes subtlety, this is brilliant.

In short, Jaecoo has bought itself front-row visibility and the Wanderers get a sponsor willing to put the brand where the fans are. Both sides appear to have come prepared to make a summer of noise, colour and goal celebrations.
