Melbourne Debuts New S-Class In Global 140 Stops Drive
Melbourne has been picked to roll out the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class in Australia as part of the marque’s 140 Years. 140 Places. tour. The city, with its motoring roots and appetite for spectacle, will host a public exhibition at the Fox Classic Car Collection this weekend. Tickets are on sale now.
Fox Classic Car Collection Exhibition
On Friday 19 June the S-Class convoy will be welcomed into Docklands to join a landmark display of club-owned classics and modern machines. Expect a proper lineage moment – generations of S-Class models parked next to the SLS AMG Gullwing and a headline appearance by the new S-Class saloon.
The exhibition pairs heritage with the present: visitors will also see the all-new CLA electric and the rare Mercedes-AMG ONE, a bona fide engineering showpiece. Opening hours are Friday 19 June 12:00pm – 5:00pm, Saturday 20 June 9:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday 21 June 9:00am – 5:00pm. All ticket proceeds will be donated to Brainwave Australia.
Melbourne’s link to the brand stretches back more than a century. In 1912 the first Benz showroom opened at 103 Exhibition Street, planting the seeds for a long local story of salesrooms, service and automotive enthusiasm.
