Mercedes-Benz Studio Sydney Welcomes City Visitors

Mercedes-Benz is planting a Studio in the middle of Sydney’s business district, opening this September at 39 Martin Place. Think less sterile dealer forecourt and more stylish living room with expensive toys on display – a place where cars rub shoulders with culture and curious passersby.
Before the doors officially open, the site will host its first activation in June as part of the “140 Years. 140 Places.” S-Class route. Three new S-Class saloons will tour 140 destinations worldwide this year, and the Sydney stop is part of that global roll-out ahead of the Studio launch.
A City Studio For City Life
The Studio sits on Martin Place, the pedestrian spine often called the heart of the city. It links heritage buildings, major institutions and daily civic life, so it is a sensible spot for a brand that wants to be seen as both historic and thoroughly modern. The space is intended to feel open to the public – a gathering point where everyday urban life meets exhibitions, launches and cultural programming.

What To Expect
The Studio will host interactive activations, new product reveals, invite-only events and cultural celebrations with partner organisations. The idea is to bring the newest cars into peoples daily routes and let visitors experience them up close in a relaxed, inspiring setting. It is about discovery as much as it is about commerce – a place to linger rather than rush through.
This Sydney opening forms part of a wider global concept being rolled out in 2026 across more than ten cities on four continents. The Studio also ties into the brand’s 140th anniversary celebrations, with the S-Class tour highlighting heritage, technology and a push to make these launch campaigns feel like something of an event rather than another ad.
