Polestar has quietly tidied its wardrobe for Polestar 2 model year 2027, confirming specs and pricing ahead of an Australian arrival in mid 2026. The headline: the Standard range single motor has been tossed from the local line up. So if you fancied the cheap, shorter range option, think again.
The good news for indecisive buyers is that the Long range Dual motor with the Performance pack now comes standard with Pixel LED headlights and a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system. That adds roughly $5100 of kit you will definitely notice at night and when you crank the volume.
Polestar says prices for the remaining Long range trims are unchanged. For those who like numbers: Long range Single motor sits at $66,400, Long range Dual motor at $71,400 and the Long range Dual motor with Performance pack at $85,080.
Upgrades You Can Hear And See

The model carries over MY26 hardware gains into MY27, including a sharper Qualcomm Snapdragon infotainment processor. The headline act is the 14 speaker Bowers & Wilkins system with 1350 Watts of output. It uses Tweeter-on-Top technology and Continuum midrange speakers to reduce distortion and make the tunes sound properly good.

The premium audio is standard on the Long range Dual motor with Performance pack, and available as an option on other Long range variants. Other niceties remain: five year vehicle warranty and complimentary roadside assist to soothe any late night range anxieties.

Packs And Options In Short
Polestar offers a selection of packs and stand alone options so you can tailor the car to your inner show off or sensible adult. Highlights include the Plus pack with fixed panoramic roof, powered front seats and a Harman Kardon 600W system for $4700. The Performance pack adds software upgrades, 20 inch wheels, Brembo brakes and Ohlins dampers for $8980 and requires the Plus pack. Pro, Climate and Pilot packs cover the rest of the usual boxes.
Single options include Pixel LED adaptive headlights for $1600, a Bowers & Wilkins upgrade for $3500 that requires the Plus pack, privacy glass for $500 and Bridge of Weir leather choices for those who want to spend more. If you want one, Polestar 2 MY27 is now available to order online.
