Discovery Range Adds Landmark And Tempest Editions
Land Rover has given the Discovery a tidy little family expansion. Meet a three-strong line-up that covers the sensible, the show-off and the clever middle ground: S, Landmark and Tempest. If you want seven seats, shove the kids in the back and pick a flavour.
Discovery Landmark
New for 2026, Landmark is the one that tries to look both outdoorsy and posh. It arrives in exclusive Tasman Blue paint, a metallic nod to the original heritage hue, and wears Graphite Atlas trim on the grille, fender vents and Discovery script. There is bespoke badging everywhere you can stick a badge – tread plates, the centre console, the B-pillar insert and puddle-lamp projections all carry a mountain motif that winks at Discovery history.
It rolls on 21-inch alloys in Dark Agate Grey and swaps a few bits of trim to Carpathian Grey on the skid plates. Inside you get dark grey brushed aluminium with Landmark branding, Tech Velour door casings and a sliding panoramic sunroof plus a centre console refrigerator for those family picnics that never quite go to plan.
Discovery Tempest
Tempest remains the flagship, loud in a tasteful way. New Borasco Grey is now an option exclusive to Tempest, joining two other premium shades, and all colours come with a matte protective film as standard for that muted, contemporary look. Tempest gets its own branding cues and Petra Copper accents across exterior scripts, tow-eye covers and 22-inch wheels.
Inside, Tempest gains two fresh interior palettes with Light Oyster and Caraway seat options, combined with Extended Windsor leather on the shoulders and contrast stitching for a modern take on luxury. In short, it is the most lavish Discovery yet.
Discovery S
The S is the sensible starter. It delivers the trademark space and adaptability you expect from a seven-seat Discovery with Duoleather seating options and family-friendly kit such as wireless phone charging, up to nine USB ports, a roomy cubby box and cunning hidden storage spots. No fuss, lots of usefulness.
Accessories And Capability
The range keeps five curated accessory packs aimed at real-world family needs. There are packs for dogs, biking adventures, beach days, road trips and snow days, each offering practical kit like loadspace liners, roof racks, cycle carriers, cool boxes and tailgate sunshades. Handy, not daft.
Under the skin, Discovery remains a competent all terrain machine with All Terrain Progress Control, Terrain Response 2, a 900 mm wading depth and a 3,500 kg towing capability aided by Advanced Tow Assist. The line-up can be specified with the D350 six cylinder diesel Ingenium engine for proper grunt when required.
Price guide for the refreshed line-up starts at $117,000 for Discovery S. Landmark is listed at $132,000 and Tempest at $147,000. All three aim to cover every family use case, from the daily school run to the weekend road trip where someone will inevitably forget the sandwiches.
