Brisbane, September 19, 2025: To mark two decades on Australian soil, Mahindra has rolled out a new family of tractors called OJA. It is a tidy bit of engineering designed to be both uncompromisingly tough and surprisingly civilised, exactly what owners of paddocks and lifestyle properties tend to prefer.
Launch And What It Means
The arrival of the OJA range coincides with 20 years of the brand in Australia and brings three fresh models to the sub-compact and compact segments. The line-up includes the OJA 1123 HST, OJA 1126 HST and the heftier OJA 2126 HST. Think of them as dependable, no-nonsense machines that will not embarrass you when the work gets serious.
Built Tough, Designed For Comfort
These tractors are purpose-built for Australian conditions with a focus on longevity and reliability. Robust construction meets creature comforts such as projector-style headlights for low-light work, a plush mComfort seat with foldable armrests and colour-coded controls that make everything feel instinctive rather than instructional.
Smart Features And Practical Tech
Mahindra has crammed the OJA range with sensible, first-in-segment kit. There is a button-operated rear PTO, a loader with class-leading lift capacity, a digital driver display panel, advanced hydraulics and power steering. Optional cabin configurations are available, and the operator platforms are ergonomically thought through so you can spend longer in the seat without regretting life choices.
Global Engineering, Local Intent
The name OJA comes from the Sanskrit word Ojas, meaning a powerhouse of energy. The platform is a global lightweight 4WD design developed in collaboration between Mahindra’s research teams and its Japanese partner. The tractors are manufactured in South India and will also be rolled out to markets including the U.S., Canada, Thailand and India.
Models And Key Specifications
From the OJA 1100 sub-compact series come the OJA 1123 HST and 1126 HST. Both use three-cylinder diesel engines, with the 1123 producing 23 hp at 3,000 rpm and the 1126 producing 26 hp at 3,000 rpm. They have hydrostatic transmissions with cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering for comfort, loader lift capacity around 420 kg, rear hitch lift of about 350 kg, and a standard 540 RPM rear PTO that is button operated. These are ideal for lifestyle property owners who need a compact, capable machine and optional mid-mount mowers and tyre choices suit varied terrain.
The OJA 2100 series is represented by the OJA 2126 HST, built on a larger platform for heavier work. It uses a three-cylinder diesel engine rated at 26 hp at 2,500 rpm, with a three-range hydrostatic transmission. Notable features include a wide flat operator platform, tilt steering, loader lift capacity of approximately 580 kg, a rear hitch lift capacity near 800 kg, and a standard button-operated 540 RPM rear PTO. An HVAC cab option is available for all-weather comfort and the loader cycle times and lift figures aim to keep bucket work efficient.
Warranty, Price And Dealer Availability
The OJA range comes with a generous warranty package offering three years comprehensive coverage plus an additional three years on the powertrain for added peace of mind. The new tractors will be available through Mahindra dealers across Australia with a recommended starting price of RLP $23,490. Dealer previews took place in mid-September and customer ordering opened on September 19, 2025.
