Geely EX2: Colours, Specs And Melbourne Motor Show Offer
geely ex2 01
Geely has stopped playing coy and confirmed the EX2 will arrive in Australia, making its public bow at the Melbourne Motor Show and landing in dealerships in the third quarter of 2026.
If you are the sort who likes a bargain with your new car, there is a cheeky show offer: pre-order between 10 and 12 April and, provided delivery happens before 30 September, you get a complimentary 7 kW EV home charger and a free premium paint finish. Installation costs are not included and availability is limited, which is PR-speak for move quickly if you want the shiny paint.
Buyers will be able to choose from six exterior colours. Moon White is the standard option, while the premium palette includes Aurora Green, Comet Grey, Nebula Beige, Jupiter Pink and Star Silver. If you fancy standing out at the light, Jupiter Pink will do the job splendidly.

The EX2 is a compact hatchback with tidy proportions: 4135 millimetres long, 1805 millimetres wide and 1570 millimetres tall, riding on a 2650 millimetre wheelbase. It shares Geely’s GEA platform with the EX5 and the Starray EM-i, which means clever use of space and no fewer than 30 storage cubbies scattered around the cabin. There is even additional frunk storage because, well, why not.
Hardware And Hints
Underneath the EX2 sits a single electric motor mounted at the rear, driving the rear wheels only, and a liquid-cooled battery pack. Exact power, torque and battery capacity will be confirmed closer to launch, which means performance fans will have to wait a little longer. The chassis features a multi-link independent rear suspension, suggesting Geely has at least thought about handling as well as packaging.
It is worth remembering the EX2 was the best-selling car in China last year, so this is not some niche experiment. Final pricing and full specifications will be released nearer the vehicle’s Australian arrival, but the combination of clever interior space, rear-wheel drive dynamics and a sensible pre-order incentive gives the EX2 a decent shot at being an entertaining, practical small EV worth checking out in the metal.
