The Kamiq gets the party hat. To mark 130 years of the company that began with a bicycle, Škoda is launching the Kamiq 130 Years Edition in November 2025, priced at an RRP of $44,990 (RRP includes GST). It takes the already clever little SUV and dresses it up with more power, more kit and a few delightful touches that make it feel like a class above.

Powertrain And Performance

Under the bonnet sits the same 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine as the Monte Carlo, producing 110 kW and 250 Nm. That is a healthy shove for a front-wheel-drive compact SUV and gives the Kamiq one of the better torque figures in its class. Power is sent through a seven-speed automatic gearbox, delivering a lively, economical drive that balances punch with sensible fuel consumption.

Exterior Upgrades

Visually the 130 Years Edition stands out without shouting. It rides on 19 inch Fornax alloy wheels in a silver finish, gains tinted rear side and rear windows, and adds chrome roof rails and window surrounds for a touch of polish. Matrix LED headlights with dynamic cornering improve night visibility, and a power tailgate with Virtual Pedal makes life easier when your hands are full. A discreet 130 Years badge on the tailgate signals the special edition status.

Interior And Technology

Inside is where the Kamiq starts to feel spoilt. A 9.2 inch touchscreen with navigation and wireless phone charging anchors the cabin, while a 10 inch Virtual Cockpit and a CANTON sound system with 10 speakers lift the ambience. Seats are trimmed in leather and Alcantara, the driver gets a power adjustable seat with lumbar and memory, there is a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, and both front and rear outboard seats are heated. Add push button start, an auto-dimming rear view mirror and LED ambient lighting and the interior feels more like a step up the ladder.

Safety And Practicality

Standard tech includes Škoda’s Travel Assist suite, which bundles adaptive cruise control, Adaptive Lane Assist and Emergency Assist for semi-autonomous comfort on longer runs. Nine airbags come as standard. Practicality remains a Škoda strength: you get a storage net under the parcel shelf, a double sided boot mat (rubber and fabric), a cargo net, a removable storage box for rear passengers and even a small waste bin in the front door pocket.

Colours, Pricing And Availability

Four paint options are offered at no extra cost: Moon White metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, Race Blue metallic and Black Magic pearlescent. The Kamiq 130 Years Edition is available to order now with customer deliveries starting in November 2025.

2026 Kamiq range and recommended retail prices are:
