Mazda’s Large SUVs Get Bolder Kits And Smarter Prices
Mazda has quietly given its Large Architecture SUVs a tidy tweak or two. No pyrotechnics, just smarter pricing, more kit and enough black trim to make anyone who likes subtlety sit up and squint.
What Mazda Has Done
First up, the pricing has been simplified. The 3.3 litre inline six petrol and diesel variants now share the same price across equivalent grades, which means less head-scratching when you are deciding between engines. The P50e plug-in hybrid setup, which is available on the CX-60 and CX-80, has been nudged down to sit just $5,000 above the equivalent G40e or D50e alternative. In plain English: you can pick the drivetrain you want without being punished for it.
Looks And Presence
The CX-90 GT grades now come standard with the Sports Appearance Package. Chrome has been shown the door and replaced with black trims across the signature wing, bumper guard, mirror caps, window mouldings, roof rails and side badging. If that sounds aggressive, it is meant to. The finishing touch is a set of 21 inch black alloy wheels that actually look like they mean business on the road.
Safety tech has been upgraded too. The CX-90 and CX-60 now include Front Cross Traffic Brake and Cruising Traffic Support with Driver Emergency Assist as standard, and Mazda Connected Services is now fitted where it was previously absent. So, more stuff that helps prevent embarrassing moments at junctions and in heavy traffic.
There is a fresh colour note as well: Polymetal Grey Metallic replaces Sonic Silver Metallic on the CX-90 and CX-60. The CX-70 and CX-80 body colours remain as they were.
More Choice For The CX-80
The CX-80 gets a new entry point with a Pure grade paired to Mazda’s 3.3 litre e-Skyactiv D inline six. It brings torque-rich, efficient performance courtesy of the 48V M-Hybrid Boost system, and slots neatly into the three-row CX-80’s practical remit.
If you like numbers, the range now starts around these points: CX-60 from $45,640, CX-70 from $73,020, CX-80 from $56,100 and CX-90 from $66,100. Detailed grade and powertrain pricing is available from dealers for those who enjoy spreadsheets.
All updated models and revised pricing are now available at Mazda dealerships nationwide. No fanfare required, just more sensible options and a bit more swagger where it counts.
