Genesis GV60 Magma Joins Nordschleife Track Taxi Fleet
Genesis has thrown something noisy and very fast onto the Nordschleife: the GV60 Magma. It is electric, unapologetically orange, and built to give passengers a lesson in velocity while their breakfast clutches on for dear life.

The Track Taxi programme, launched in 2024, sends paying guests around the Nurburgring Nordschleife – 20.832 kilometres of tarmac, 73 corners and enough surface changes to keep even the fussiest suspension awake. Since day one nearly 3,000 passengers have been strapped in for the ride, with two modified G70 sedans putting in 1,300 laps – about 27,081.6 kilometres – and chewing through more than 180 sets of tyres.
Enter the GV60 Magma. Its two enhanced electric motors – one per axle – spin beyond 20,000 rpm and deliver a combined 478 kW and 790 Nm. With all wheel drive and BOOST mode, the SUV hits 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and tears to 124 mph in 10.9 seconds, with a top speed of 265 kph. This is not gentle progress, it is theatrical acceleration.
Stopping it requires serious kit. Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tyres sit under the body, while regenerative braking teams up with huge 400 mm discs, monoblock calipers and ABS to haul the car from 100 km/h in just 33.8 m. The chassis gets a torque vectoring system and an electronic limited slip differential to keep the car honest through corners, and an electric Active Sound Design system provides the soundtrack without pretending to be a petrol V8.
Front seat passengers get a new 10 way bucket seat tuned for support on high speed laps. The two G70 sedans remain in the fleet, so there is choice: stereo V6 drama or full electric drama. Either way, it is designed to be fast, secure and, crucially, fun.
