Ford has dusted off the Wildtrak badge and stuck it back on the Everest for 2026, because some names are too tasty to leave alone. Production starts May 2026 and about 1,000 examples will arrive in Australia. It is loud in looks, sensible in hardware and priced from a recommended Manufacturer List Price of $79,990.

Design That Wants Attention

The Wildtrak Everest is all attitude: gloss black H-Bar bumper, a gloss black grille bar with signature Ignite Orange nostrils and 20-inch black alloys with orange inserts. If those seem a touch showy, there is a no-cost option for 18-inch alloy wheels finished in Asphalt Black and wrapped with all-terrain tyres. In short, it looks ready for the beach and the burly stuff beyond it.

Cabin And Tech With A Wink

Inside is where the Wildtrak tries to be serious while having a bit of fun. Leather-accented seats wear WILDTRAK lettering and contrast Ignite Orange stitching, there is a panoramic roof with a power blind, ambient lighting and a power-folding third row for cargo gymnastics. Matrix LED headlamps with auto-levelling and dynamic bending round out the kit for clearer night driving.

Power And Practicality

Under the bonnet sits Ford’s proven 3.0 litre V6 turbo-diesel, married to a full-time four-wheel-drive system. Translation: confident motorway progress and the grunt to go further off the beaten track without apologising for it.

Money Talk And Availability

The Everest Wildtrak is pitched as a premium, limited-run model sitting above the Sport variant. Recommended pricing starts at $79,990. Factory options include Prestige Paint for $750, a Premium Towing Pack for $2,500 and the 18-inch all-terrain wheel package as a no-cost option. With only around 1,000 units coming to Australia, buyers who fancy something that looks like it should tow a boat and will not be invisible at the lights should move quickly.
