GMSV Teams Up With The Los Angeles Rams, Bringing Big American Energy To Australia
GMSV RAMS 1
General Motors Specialty Vehicles has decided that Australia does not have enough noise, spectacle or V8-powered excess, so they have gone and partnered with the Los Angeles Rams. Yes, the actual Rams. The helmet wearing, shoulder-pad wielding, NFL superstars. And they are marching straight into Australia and New Zealand with a partnership that is about as subtle as a Silverado doing a burnout in your driveway.
This partnership runs across this NFL season and the next, all in the lead-up to something genuinely historic. The first ever regular season NFL game to be played in Australia, landing at the MCG in 2026. Picture it. American football at the home of cricket. Somewhere a traditionalist just fainted.
The Rams Have Already Landed
The Rams have not exactly been shy about introducing themselves either. They already have their own dedicated Australian Instagram, they toured the Super Bowl LVI trophy around the country, and they’ve sent actual players, cheerleaders and team legends to run youth flag football events and pose at tourist hotspots. They have genuinely committed to the bit.

Enter GMSV, The Perfectly American Match
GMSV blasting into the ANZ market back in 2020 brought us the Chevrolet Silverado, the Corvette, and now the GMC Yukon Denali. The Yukon Denali is a massive eight seat SUV that looks like it should come with its own zip code. It tows more than anything else in its class, fits eight full sized adults, and comes powered by a petrol V8 that makes the Prius parked next to it cry a little inside.
It’s the sort of SUV where you expect to open the tailgate and find a marching band rehearsing in there.
General Motors Marketing Director ANZ, Heath Walker, says the partnership makes sense because both the Rams and GMSV represent power, presence and professionalism. In other words, they are extremely good at being extremely big and extremely American. And that is precisely the charm.
He even joked there is enough room in the Yukon Denali for the offensive line, the wide receiver, the running back and the quarterback to drive. Which is technically true. That thing is enormous.
Fans Are About To Be Spoiled
The partnership is not just a logo swap. There is a full slate of activities on the way.
• A content series titled Road to Melbourne, building hype for the 2026 game
• GMSV taking over the VIP Tailgate event at the MCG with a fleet of Silverados and Yukon Denalis
• Presenting partner of the Rams Youth Flag Football Clinic
• Vehicle displays and activations popping up everywhere from dealerships to major events
And here is the big one. GMSV is giving one lucky customer a full blown Los Angeles Rams VIP Experience at SoFi Stadium. A trip for four to LA with flights, accommodation, stadium tour, pregame field passes, VIP tailgate passes, premium game tickets and a Rams gift pack. Basically the kind of prize where you would have to pretend you know far more about NFL strategy than you actually do.
A New Era For NFL Down Under
For both die hard NFL fans and people who simply enjoy very large, very loud American things, this partnership is huge. The Rams get to expand their presence in Australia, and GMSV gets the perfect stage to show off the Yukon, the Silverado and their whole American metal lineup.
It is sport meets horsepower meets showmanship, all building toward a historic MCG showdown that will probably break the sound barrier the moment the first whistle blows.
In short, GMSV and the LA Rams are bringing the kind of spectacle Australians secretly love. Big vehicles, big athletes, big energy. And it is only just kicking off.
