Denza Australia has finally put numbers on the board for its debut pair of Super Hybrid SUVs, the B5 and B8, and they are arriving with unmistakable confidence. The duo made their first public appearance at the brand’s new showroom at Rushcutters Bay in Sydney and will now be touring the country on a national roadshow that no doubt involves coffee, key fobs, and eager buyers.

Pricing For Australia And New Zealand

In Australia, the B5 starts at AUD 74,990 while the B5 Leopard steps up to AUD 79,990. The larger B8 comes in two flavours: the 7-seat B8 is AUD 91,000 and the executive 6-seat B8 is AUD 97,990. Across the Tasman in New Zealand, the B5 is priced at NZD 88,990, the B5 Leopard at NZD 96,990, the B8 7-seat at NZD 109,990 and the B8 6-seat at NZD 117,990. These figures exclude on-road costs.

Technology And Performance

Both models ride on BYD’s DM-O Dual Mode Offroad super-hybrid platform, which is a technical mouthful and, more importantly, a smart one. It lets you run as an EV for town trips and switch to plug-in hybrid mode when you fancy a proper road trip, delivering a combined range approaching 1,000 kilometres. Drive is handled by twin motors with four wheel drive, backed by the much-vaunted Blade Battery and an optional DiSus-P hydraulic suspension for those who like their comfort measured in kilometres rather than complaints.

Models And Practicality

The B5 is offered in Standard and Leopard variants, the latter adding some extra presence and polish. The B8 is the flagship, available in roomy 7-seat and a more pampered 6-seat layout aimed at families and executive travel. In short, small SUV, large SUV, and the sort of versatility that makes sense whether you are carting school bags or golf clubs.

Brand Experience And Launch Details

Denza is rolling out more than cars. The launch includes the House of Denza, a curated brand universe intended to offer owners lifestyle access, experiences, and a sense that their vehicle is part of a larger world. With roughly 5,000 expressions of interest already logged, the showrooms are expected to be busy. Orders for the B5 and B8 are open now.

Special Offer For Early Buyers

To sweeten the deal, the first 2,000 B5 buyers will receive a complimentary premium paint upgrade and an interior trim enhancement valued at about AUD 1,818. It is a small flourish, but one that will make those early cars look that little bit smarter in the driveway.

If you want to see one in the metal, expect the national roadshow to call at dealerships around the country in the coming weeks.
