Mustang Mach-E 2025: Boosted Power, Range And Polish

Ford Australia has quietly reworked the Mustang Mach-E for 2025, and it is more than a wash-and-polish job. The range lands locally by the end of the year with sharper performance, better efficiency and a few smart interior and exterior tweaks that actually matter. Expect the refreshed lineup in showrooms from October 2025.
Models remain familiar: the rear-wheel drive Select, the extended-range rear-wheel drive Premium, and the rangy, all-wheel drive GT at the top of the tree. Prices start at $65,990 for the Select, $80,490 for the Premium and $98,490 for the GT.
Performance And Power
The headline is the GT’s new punch. Maximum system power jumps to 434 kW and torque rockets to 955 Nm, which is the kind of figure that makes traffic lights nervous. Notably, the smaller Select gets a healthy boost too, rising to 212 kW and 525 Nm, and the Premium’s torque now matches that 525 Nm figure. Battery chemistry is unchanged, but the tweaks to power delivery and efficiency mean more usable performance across the range.
Range, Battery And Charging
Range estimates have improved across the line. The Select with its 73 kWh usable battery is rated at about 470 km WLTP. The Premium’s extended 88 kWh usable pack stretches to roughly 600 km WLTP. The GT, running a 91 kWh usable battery, is rated to about 515 km WLTP thanks to efficiency gains despite its higher output. Charging times are quicker for the Premium and GT on a 150 kW DC fast charger, with 10 to 80 percent topping-up falling from around 45 minutes to roughly 36 minutes under ideal conditions.
Heating Efficiency And Climate Control
Every Mach-E now gets an energy-efficient heat pump. That sounds dull until winter arrives and you realise the car isn’t chewing its way through range to warm the cabin. In short, the update helps maintain real-world range when you are actually using the heating or air conditioning.
Ride, Handling And Chassis Changes
The non-GT models receive new suspension hardware and revised tuning aimed at smoothing the ride without turning the Mach-E into a slug. Updated sway bars, springs and dampers are intended to keep the car composed and sporty yet more comfortable on everyday roads. The GT retains its focused chassis setup to preserve its performance character.
Exterior And Interior Updates
Cosmetic changes are subtle but sensible. New alloy wheel designs freshen the look across the line. The Premium gains matte black lower bumper cladding and body-coloured wheel arch mouldings in place of gloss black, while the GT gets a refreshed grille design that looks sharper in profile. Inside, the rotary gear dial has been traded for a column-mounted monostable shifter, which frees up centre console space for better storage. Front seats now offer 10-way power adjustment rather than eight-way, and the Select gains the same projector beam headlamps found on Premium and GT models for consistent lighting performance.
Colours, Options And Availability
For 2025 there are eight paint options overall, including six new colours: Eruption Green, Molten Magenta, Terrain, Velocity Blue, Glacier Grey and Grabber Yellow. Shadow Black remains the no-cost option, while prestige paint is offered for an additional $700. Customer deliveries for the updated 2025.00MY Mustang Mach-E are scheduled to begin from October 2025.
