How to Upgrade the Gorgofex to the Gorgofex N in Black Ops 6 Zombies – Reckoning DLC

If you have been tearing through Black Ops 6 Zombies’ latest DLC, Reckoning, you might already have your hands on the powerful wonder weapon Gorgofex. But did you know there is an upgraded version called the Gorgofex N? This step-by-step guide will show you exactly how to get it, from the base weapon to the upgraded powerhouse.

Step 1 – Get the Base Gorgofex

If you already have the Gorgofex, you can skip this step. Otherwise, here is the short version of how to get it.

First, open the map and activate Pack-a-Punch. To do this, head to the top of the second tower and activate the particle accelerator.

Once Pack-a-Punch is online, head to the T1 Mutant Research Lab where you will find two flashing computers:

• One behind Richtofen’s family.
• One to the left of Deadshot.

Each computer will display a random word in green text. Take the first letter from each word and try to match it to an element on the periodic table.

Example: Bellose and Porative give you “B” and “P”, which does not match any element. Swap them to “P” and “B” and you get Lead (Pb), which has an atomic number of 82.

Step 2 – Create the Code

Once you know the element, find its atomic number. If it is less than three digits, add a zero to the start.

• Example: Pb = 82 becomes 082.

Take the code to the top of the lab to open the locked door to the secret lab.

Step 3 – Vermin and Zombie Collection

Inside, weakening a zombie will occasionally cause a vermin to spawn.

• Lead the vermin to the test tube and weaken it until it is sucked into the portal.

Do this for three vermin, then repeat the process for three zombies. Once done, you can collect the cyst from the test tube.

Step 4 – Absorb Energy from Ether Trees

Take the cyst to the Quantum Computing Lab where there are three ether trees. When you are near a tree, the cyst will start absorbing the yellow plant energy.

Drain all three trees completely. The cyst will then evolve in your inventory.

Step 5 – The Forsaken Room Event

Head to the T2 Dark Entity Containment Room (the Forsaken Room).

• Activate the four computers on the main floor in quick succession.
• This will trigger a surge of electricity into the Forsaken containment ball, summoning an Uber Klaus.

Destroy the Uber Klaus’ shoulder pads, then lure it onto the pressure plate in front of the Forsaken. It will be electrocuted, possessed, and turned into an HVT.

Defeat the HVT to get the blood drop. Combine it with the cyst to spawn the Gorgofex.

Step 6 – Begin the Gorgofex N Upgrade

With the base Gorgofex in hand, head to the Executive Suite and interact with the door to speak with Blanchard. He will send you to collect several items.

Step 7 – Collect the Items

Strauss Counter – Found in the Quantum Computing Lab on the large ether reactor in the middle of the room.

Vial – Head to the Android Assembly area with high ether reactor energy. Near the elevator, look for a barricade to the right. When your Strauss Counter goes wild, use a charged Gorgofex shot on the box in the room to get the vial.

Clean Hood – Return to the keypad room where you first got the cyst and grab the hood from the back left corner.

PC Fan – In the Forsaken Room, to the left of the Arsenal station.

Wire and Tubing – Outside the Quantum Computer area, in the back corner of the map.

Step 8 – Assemble the Device

Take everything back to Blanchard’s door and assemble the device. Insert the vial to start a 90-second lockdown.

This section can be challenging, especially in higher rounds, so make sure you have a field upgrade ready and some decoys to help control the chaos.

When the lockdown ends, Blanchard’s life force will be drawn into the device. Pick it up and return to the original locked door where you found the cyst.

Step 9 – Claim the Gorgofex N

You can now craft the Gorgofex N. This version has an explosive toxic effect, making it deadly in the right situations, although some players might find it a bit weaker than expected.
