Spotify Music Quiz is rolling out in Australia, giving Premium listeners aged 18 and over a way to test their artist knowledge inside the app. If you want to find it, start with the Now Playing screen.
Anyone who has argued with a mate about being an artist’s biggest fan will see the appeal. Listening hours are one thing. Remembering the music is another.
What is Spotify Music Quiz?
The quizzes mix artist trivia with album artwork reveals and song recognition from audio previews. Spotify says the expansion covers more than 2,000 artists across 11 countries. See the official Music Quiz announcement.
How to find and play Spotify Music Quiz
- Update Spotify to the latest app version.
- Play a song by a participating artist.
- Open Now Playing and scroll down to the Music Quiz card.
- Tap the card to begin, then complete the questions.
- Check your score and share it with friends.

Why isn’t Spotify Music Quiz showing up?
The rollout is gradual, so the card may be missing for your account or chosen artist. It requires Premium and is launching in English for selected artists. Updating the app does not guarantee immediate access.
Our suggestion: check your account eligibility first, then try another artist. If it still isn’t there, revisit it later rather than spending ages hunting through settings.
A quick challenge between songs
For us, the interesting part is how little effort it takes to turn a listening session into something social. A quiz gives friends a reason to compare what they know, rather than just compare what they stream. The real test will be whether people come back once the novelty wears off.
