The EveryPlate CBF Box is a limited-edition collection of six recipes chosen by comedian and TV presenter Nikki Osborne. CBF stands for “Can’t Be Fussed”, and the idea is straightforward: familiar dinners with simple instructions for nights when cooking feels like one job too many.
The collection runs from 12 October to 8 November 2026, with advertised pricing from A$3.19 per plate. We asked Osborne how she chose the meals, where a meal kit saves the most effort and what she cooks when even a quick dinner is too much.

- BLT Sourdough Sandwich
- Creamy Pesto Chicken Spaghetti

How much does the EveryPlate CBF Box cost?
The updated campaign material advertises recipes from A$3.19 per plate, matching the starting price on EveryPlate’s Australian website when checked on 20 October 2026.
EveryPlate says pricing depends on the number of people and recipes per week, with premium meal upgrades costing extra. The starting price does not establish what every dish or a complete delivered order will cost. The website also advertises a new-customer discount of up to 40% and free delivery on the first box, with the offer varying by plan. Check the selected plan, promotional conditions, recipe extras and ongoing delivered price before ordering.
Osborne says price matters when choosing between supermarket shopping, takeaway and meal kits. She points to family takeaway bills and ingredients that can go unused. Our assessment of value will depend on the meals we try and the full price of the equivalent order.

Why Nikki chose these meals
Osborne’s favourite is the Creamy Pesto Chicken Spaghetti. She says it is also her children’s favourite, and leftovers can go into a thermos for school lunch the next day.
“It feels like going for a pub lunch, minus having to put real pants on to leave the house,” she tells TechDrivePlay.
Her idea of an easy meal comes down to simple ingredients, little fancy preparation and a short journey from stove to plate. Elaborate recipes are a hard sell at the end of a busy day.
“By 6pm my brain is completely fried, so if putting dinner together requires more than three brain cells, it’s not happening,” Osborne says.

What effort does a meal kit save?
For Osborne, the biggest attraction comes before cooking starts. Having the recipes chosen and the ingredients delivered reduces the last-minute dinner decisions and supermarket trips.
She points to the familiar “what are we having?” panic at 5pm. Pre-portioned ingredients and recipe cards address the planning and shopping, though you still need to prepare the food and clean up afterwards.
Osborne also thinks social media has made everyday cooking seem more demanding than it needs to be. Handmade pasta and carefully prepared sauces may be enjoyable when there is time, but she does not see them as a requirement for a Tuesday night.
“Dinner isn’t an audition for a cooking show; it’s about getting good, satisfying food into your pie hole so you can relax,” she says.

When even a short recipe is too much, Osborne has a backup: breakfast for dinner, in the form of an egg and bacon toasted sandwich. It is a reminder that the point of an easy meal is to get everyone fed and leave some of the evening to enjoy.
