Kia EV3 GT-Line AWD Arrives With Punchy Performance
Kia has finally given the EV3 a proper top dog: the GT-Line AWD. Landing in Australian showrooms from September, this dual motor version finishes off the EV3 range and brings a bit of bite to what has been an otherwise very sensible electric offering.
Under the bonnet there is no bonnet. What you do get is a sophisticated dual motor all wheel drive system that produces a combined 195kW and 385Nm. That is enough shove to see the EV3 scoot from 0 to 100km/h in 6.6 seconds. Faster than your average family SUV, slower than something that makes you nervous at petrol stations.
The GT-Line AWD also comes with larger brakes and a bespoke suspension and steering tune tailored for Australian roads. Kia says the tweaks deliver sharper responses and better control without turning the EV3 into a brittle sports car. There is a small hit to range compared with the front wheel drive model, but it is modest: the long range 81.4kWh battery still covers up to 559km on the WLTP cycle.

The EV3 has been enjoying strong momentum in Australia, recording its best sales month in June 2026. The GT-Line AWD looks like the logical, slightly sportier top of the range option for buyers who want extra traction and a bit more pace without surrendering practicality or range.
