Sydney FC has just signed a three season deal with GAC Australia, which will see the global carmaker step in as a Premium Partner and the club’s Official Automotive Partner. In plain terms: expect GAC badges on the right sleeve of Men’s, Women’s and Academy kits, and a lot more of the brand around Allianz Stadium.

The agreement is more than logo swapping. GAC will feature across playing and training apparel, with the right sleeve position taken across the club’s football programs. It is a neat bit of real estate, right where cameras point and shirts get close ups.

Match Days And Activations

On match days there will be a proper presence: vehicle displays, fan activations, on-site experiences and digital content across the club’s channels. Think cars parked near the gates, interactive zones for supporters and the odd player appearance to make the whole thing feel less like advertising and more like an event.

Community work is also on the agenda. The partnership backs the club’s Sky Blue Pathways initiatives, from holiday clinics to grassroots development programs. Expect vehicles fronting community events and opportunities for fans to get hands on with the products.

Both organisations are selling the same line: ambition, innovation and building long term ties. The club welcomes the investment and the promise of expanded engagement for members and supporters, while the manufacturer sees football as a way to introduce its brand to a wide Australian audience.

The partnership is effective immediately and will roll out ahead of the 2026/27 season. In short: shirts will look different, the fan zone will look busier and there will be a few more cars at the stadium. Whether that makes the team play better remains to be seen, but it will certainly make arriving at the ground more interesting.
