Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV Gains AT-1 Tuning And 220V Outlet

GWM has given the Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV a proper tune-up and a useful bit of kit. The AT-1 package is a localised set of ride and handling tweaks plus a new 220 volt outlet for the rear storage area, aimed squarely at drivers who split time between school runs, the blacktop and the bush.
What Changed
The headline is suspension and steering retune. GWM says the AT-1 package adds upgraded damper tuning and revised steering calibration to deliver sharper feedback, better composure and greater driver confidence in town, on the open road and off the beaten track. In plain English: less float, more grip and a steering feel that stops you wondering what the car is doing.
Power For Weekend Life
Practicality gets a nod too. A 220 volt power outlet has been fitted in the rear storage area to boost the vehicle-to-load capability. That means running camping fridges, power tools or other gear without dragging out an inverter. Useful, simple and exactly the sort of thing you notice when you need it.
Made For Australia And New Zealand
AT-1 cements GWM’s push to localise its product. The Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV is now the second model to leave the factory with ANZ-specific ride and handling tuning built in, so the setup arrives set for local roads rather than being left for dealers to fiddle with later.

Price And Availability
The AT-1 tuned 2026 Tank 500 Hi4-T PHEV is offered at a drive away price of $77,990 under current May offers, down from a standard drive away figure of $79,990. The updated specification applies to MY2026 vehicles built from March 2026 onwards. Buyers should check with their local dealership for stock and arrival timing.
If you want a big electrified off-road SUV that now steers a bit smarter and provides real-world power for weekend kit, this update makes the Tank 500 an even more convincing package.
