2H stands for “Two-Wheel Drive High Range.”

  • How It Works: Power is sent only to two wheels, typically the rear ones in most 4WD vehicles. This provides the best fuel efficiency and allows the vehicle to handle smooth, paved roads comfortably.
  • When to Use:

    • Hard, dry surfaces like compact dirt or gravel roads.

2. What is 4H?

4H stands for “Four-Wheel Drive High Range.”

Why Can’t I Use 4H or 4L on Pavement?
