After a week of snowy weather in Falls Creek, they’re excited to report an additional 33 centimeters of fresh snow overnight on Friday. Heavy snowfall has continued throughout today, adding another 12-15 centimeters, with official numbers to be released tomorrow morning. This brings our total seven-day snowfall to well over 70 centimeters.

Following a slow start to the season, winter has truly arrived, promising excellent coverage for many weeks ahead.

Backcountry guide Macca from Falls Creek Guides shared his excitement: “Our season is here to stay – we’ve got enough snow to last until September!”

Looking ahead, they’re expecting another significant snowstorm this Friday night, with forecasts predicting over 30 centimeters of fresh powder. With plenty of available accommodation, a fully ski-in-ski-out village, and more terrain opening soon, now is the perfect time to book your holiday in Falls Creek.

“With big crowds hitting the slopes again this weekend, it’s timely to remind guests to pre-book their resort entry permit before leaving home to avoid disappointment. We have increased car parking capacity this season, but when a big storm hits, the car parks fill quickly with snow lovers coming from all around,” said Sarah Watt, Head of Marketing & Visitor Experience at Falls Creek Alpine Resort.
