Mahindra Automotive Australia has gone and done the sort of thing that makes car people nod and bargain hunters cancel their dinner plans. Teaming up with News Corp Australia, the brand is giving away six SUVs in what it calls the biggest consumer promotion in its 20-year Australian history. Six winners. Six cars. One glorious month of anticipation. The promotion launches February 15 and runs for four weeks.

Campaign Details

The campaign will run across News Corp Australia’s state, regional and community mastheads, giving readers in cities and small towns alike a crack at the keys. Titles involved include The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, Herald Sun and Sunday Herald Sun, The Courier-Mail and Sunday Mail, The Advertiser and Sunday Mail (SA), Geelong Advertiser, Gold Coast Bulletin, Cairns Post, Townsville Bulletin, The Chronicle (Toowoomba), NT News and Sunday Territorian, and The Mercury and Sunday Tasmanian. Expect print and digital placements, because nothing says reach like both ink on paper and pixels.

The Prizes

Six winners will drive away examples from Mahindra’s current Australian lineup, showcasing the brand’s range from rugged to refined.

Mahindra Scorpio
A proper body-on-frame SUV built for tough conditions. The Scorpio is all about durability, seven-seat practicality and off-road chops. It is aimed at families who tow, tradies who do actual work, and anyone who likes a bit of gravel under the tyres.

Mahindra XUV700
The XUV700 is the brand’s mid-size offering that tries to be clever and succeeds. It mixes performance, modern tech and safety systems with a comfortable on-road manner. Think smart motorway presence rather than mud-splattered heroics.

Mahindra XUV 3XO
Small, sharp and aggressively priced. The XUV 3XO has snagged attention and even earned a place as a Wheels Car of the Year finalist. It delivers impressive ride quality, everyday usability and a value proposition that makes you wonder why you paid more elsewhere.

Why This Matters

Beyond the spectacle of handing over keys, the promotion signals growing confidence in the brand and its relevance to Australian drivers. With the cost of living on everyone’s lips, the idea of winning a primary family car or a useful second vehicle will land with many people. Mahindra has been building its presence since 2005, now with a broad SUV line-up and a national dealer network. The sweepstakes is as much about putting cars into people’s lives as it is about reminding the market that the brand is here, ready and competitive.

Entry details will be available in participating mastheads from February 15. If you like the idea of turning up to school drop-off or the hardware store in something new and unblemished, you know what to do.
