Black Ops 7 Season 1 is a major expansion that reaches into every part of the game. Endgame becomes a larger and more dynamic battleground, Zombies travels into deep space, Multiplayer introduces new arenas with a surreal edge, and Warzone fully adopts the Black Ops 7 ruleset. The season also adds seven new weapons, fresh attachments, new Operators, seasonal events, and a Battle Pass that pays out faster.

Endgame: Avalon Evolves Into a Full Experience

Endgame is now unlocked for every player, which immediately changes how it fits into the game. Avalon no longer feels like an optional extra. It feels central. The map is still based on difficulty zones, but the real change is the arrival of four World Events that drop into your session without warning. When they trigger, the entire zone around you becomes a large combat arena.

Colossus of Avalon

A giant machine falls from the sky and begins marching through the landscape. Smaller drones circle it, creating shields and distractions. Teams need to break the armor, expose the core and time their attacks before the machine launches back into the air.

Toxic Tyrant

A poison outbreak distorts your vision and fills the zone with twisted bio mechanical creatures. The final stage is a nightmare encounter built around illusions and psychological pressure.

Wraith Wing (Mid Season)

A fear powered VTOL that duplicates itself and hunts squads across wide areas. Teams must disable its systems and bring it down before the clones overwhelm the fight.

A fourth Event arrives later in the season, although Treyarch is holding those details back for now.

Exotic Skills

World Events now reward Exotic Skill Cases. These provide powerful abilities that sit alongside your normal loadout. You can equip one at a time. Each can be upgraded across several stages.

Some highlights include:

  • Mega Punch, which replaces standard melee with a heavy shockwave strike
  • Resurrection, which gives you a free second chance and eventually becomes a rechargeable self revive
  • Graviton Reaction, which triggers a small black hole when you take damage
  • Shattered Shield, which turns broken armor into a blast that stuns enemies

These skills add a new layer of depth to Endgame. Teams can plan around combinations in a way that feels closer to a light RPG system.

Phantom Skill Track

Later in the season, players can progress through a stealth focused track. It improves silent movement, boosts backstab damage and deploys decoy support when you take heavy hits. It changes Endgame from a loud brawl into something that can be approached quietly.

CODMAS in Endgame

Avalon receives a full seasonal makeover. Snowballs act as throwable weapons, festive supply boxes appear across the map, and limited time challenges unlock themed cosmetics.


Zombies: A Haunted Observatory in Saturn’s Rings

Zombies receives one of its most interesting settings in years. The new map, Astra Malorum, takes place in an abandoned observatory drifting among the rings of Saturn. The location is dark, eerie and filled with old machinery that has been warped by the Dark Aether.

From the first round, you can see Saturn looming through cracked glass panels while the observatory creaks and shifts under its own weight. It feels unlike any previous Zombies map.

O S C A R Elite Enemy

A hovering robot that scans rooms and switches into aggressive mode when it locks onto targets. It shields itself with drone barriers, fires electrical bursts, throws internal components like projectiles and uses hologram traps to lure hordes toward you.

LGM 1 Wonder Weapon

A launcher that fires small saucer drones. They orbit zombies while firing lasers and return to your hand when the attack cycle ends. It is built for crowd clearing and suits fast movement.

Map Traps

Two traps are integrated into the observatory:

  • The Stellar Dissector, a rotating laser system inside the Luminarium
  • The Apogee Annihilator, a rocket powered turret in the courtyard

Each one gives players new ways to manage large groups.

Extra Content in Zombies

Season 1 also adds:

  • Exit 115 Survival, a diner based endurance map with milestone rewards
  • Directed Mode for both Ashes of the Damned and Astra Malorum, designed for players who want guided Main Quest runs
  • Cursed Mode, a high difficulty version of Astra Malorum with minimal HUD
  • Zarya Cosmodrome Survival, arriving mid season
  • Holiday modes including Jingle Hells and the List Keeper’s Challenge

The system also expands with new GobbleGums, mid season craftable gear, returning Ammo Mods and updated perk progressions.


Multiplayer: New Arenas and Classic Maps Rebuilt

Season 1 blends new map design with reality bending environments and familiar favourites from the past.

Launch Maps

  • Utopia, a futuristic Guild facility with rooftop edges and parkour routes
  • Fate, a floating hallucination of Menendez’s compound that breaks apart mid match
  • Odysseus, an aircraft carrier frozen at the moment of destruction
  • Standoff, a full remaster of the Black Ops 2 classic

Mid Season Maps

  • Yakei, a neon rooftop fight above a Japanese city with heavy vertical play
  • Meltdown, the first modern remaster of the Black Ops 2 nuclear plant
  • Fringe, updated from its Black Ops 6 version with expanded traversal paths

Multiplayer also brings back Prop Hunt, Gun Game, One in the Chamber and other favourites. A new mode called Takeover arrives mid season. It rotates objectives across the map in a way that forces teams to reposition and adapt.

The new Scorestreak, Deadeye Drone, lets players control a sniper drone that can be upgraded with extra ammo or explosives.


Warzone: Haven’s Hollow and a New Identity

Warzone fully adopts the Black Ops 7 movement and weapon standards for Season 1. Base movement speed is higher. Tac Sprint is now linked to a perk. Combat Rolling is tied to another perk. Grapple Hooks and Wall Jumps are tested through limited modes. Loadouts cap at five attachments. Overkill is now included by default.

Haven’s Hollow

A new Resurgence map set in a small Appalachian town. It mixes rural areas with locations inspired by Zombies maps. The layout keeps rotations quick and encourages constant close range fights.

Key locations include:

  • A mansion with a fossil exhibit
  • A shallow pond surrounded by vantage points
  • A barn and grain silo at the centre
  • A three deck riverboat casino
  • A research facility with open courtyards
  • A lumber and coal area with layered flanks

Verdansk Updates

Two major points of interest have returned:

  • Signal Station, a communications hub with interactive intel
  • Factory, rebuilt from its Verdansk 84 appearance

New Sandbox Tools

Warzone adds several items that change how fights play out:

  • Needle Drone, a steerable throwable drone
  • Psych Grenade, which projects illusions and red gas
  • Phantom Signal, which distorts enemy audio and visibility
  • Pinpoint Grenade, which tags enemies who enter its radius
  • Echo Unit, a decoy that mimics your pose and movement

These tools sit alongside the new perk layout and refreshed equipment pools.

The Battle Pass has been restructured. Early pages are shorter, so rewards drop faster. Daily challenges across every mode grant Battle Pass Tokens, including Endgame. Key blueprint and operator unlocks appear earlier.

BlackCell returns with its own reward track. It includes:

  • The Operator Scorn
  • Exclusive Mastercrafts
  • A unique user interface theme
  • Extra challenges per mode

It is the most complete BlackCell release so far with more than one hundred rewards for full completion.
